"We have received reports that the Swindon based leisurewear supplier UKL went into administration last Friday. We understand that the key assets have been purchased by Carapace, which is a company associated with Paul Persey owner of leading clothing wholesaler PenCarrie. It is understood that both UKL and Pen Carrie will continue as separate companies with Tony Lock of Pen Carrie and Tracy Richards of UKL as joint Managing Directors of the new UKL organisation."

Martin -That's the report I got through from one of the main Promotional Portals.

Thanks - spoke with UKL earlier. UKL Ltd went into receivership on Friday and was immediately taken over and is trading as UKL Distribution. There's no interuption to the business so it's a change of ownership and name but other than that business as usual.

Quite frightening how much this is happening. We sell equipment on behalf of administartors etc which has often come from people we know in our industry (one of the businesses) and although this is what do we in order to keep our doors open it's so sad to see another one of us close it's doors. In fact we were at the Fous exhibition where two traders there went into administration at the show!
BTW we do sell equipment under better circumstances too.

A little dickie bird told me that BTC Activewear have recently be bailed out by a take-over!

That info came from one of the major competitors so how much truth there is in the story, I don't know.
