We're busy planning for Pulse (large trade show in London's Earls Court) this weekend
Found out last minute (whilst on holiday in Madeira last week) that when we'd been told months ago that we were on the waiting list, at the top no less, that they were actually telling the truth, and we'd be given the first cancellation stand - to that point I wasn't sure if they were fobbing us off. So our relaxing holiday in the sun of Madeira became as much of a planning meeting that it could with only internet access in the hotel lobby, and then a week to get everything set for the show once home. We're now almost there, after a very busy week of design and production - more so than a December week! Roping in friends and family to help us out with looking after our daughter while we're in the studio, and for extra hands for making (and sewing!)

good luck, its always so daunting, if you see someone you think is taking more interest in your designs than you like (so easy now with camera phones etc) dont hesitate in reporting them - the show welcomes it.

Oh, I'm hot on spying people with cameras, no worries there, and used to knowing how to answer questions on how our designs are made etc that deflect away from the truth - too many art students and teachers around where we sell in London who seem more than keen to nick our ideas.

Day 1 set-up done ... almost everything is now at Earls Court, walls painted, and furniture erected ... tomorrow large wallpaper print to go up on one wall, shelves to put on the walls maybe, products to arrange, and then the brochure, and order forms to design and print!

I have never felt so tired!!! (last night anyway!) Slept fairly well, and feel so much better today, despite our 8 month old daughter not sleeping as soundly as usual in the hotel room. Got 1 order form a shop in Oxford which is shutting down - she wasn't expecting to buy, just come and say goodbye to friends she's made over the years at these shows, but loved my wife's card artwork/card designs so much so bought a load - says if she doesn't sell them by the time she closes shop in September, that she'll happily use them herself! We then have quite a few leads to follow up after the show.
Let's see what day 2 holds!!!

Anyone here ever have to ship a load of mugs to Sydney??!
