Brother DCP-J315W for sublimation?
Re: Brother DCP-J315W for sublimation?
As title really.
Ignoring issues with ICCs etc.
If loaded with sublimation ink in refill carts or a CISS, am I right in assuming that being a Brother inkjet printer with a piezo head, that sublimation inks will work in this?
Thanks

Yep, grab yourself a set of LC985 refillable cartridges, such as these: https://www.printercartridges.net/print ... ts_id=1187, and you should be good to go (with custom ICC, of course). I don't know that anyone else uses the DCP-J315W so you'll be the first. Come back and let us know how you get on.
Read up on all the other threads of people's experiences with Brother printers first, of course, because no supplier is going to help you out if you run into difficulties.

... I will be the supplier, it was more a potential customer query I wanted to double check.

i,m using the Brother 5910dw A3 printers bud - for both sublimation and ordinary work.
They are performing flawless so far ( about 5-7wks old ).
NO heads clogged like the epson if you leave it without printing - left them for a week, fired them up and they printed straight away with no issues.
also using external, refillable tanks for both the sub and ordinary inks.
works out far, far cheaper in the long term
but like JSR and others say (incl me) - you will find support very, very limited indeed - unless your ready to do some tinkering to get things working(working better), go for an epson.
everybody incl there granny has one and help is in plenty supply
sift through some of the back posts from myself and JSR and judge for yourself whether brother is for you - or your client.

I know bigj2552 uses a profile made for him by Paul on here, I currently am running the printer without a custom profile and can currently live with the results I get as they do not seem to matter much as yet to the work I am doing.
