'As a guide for Ricoh printers we would recommend an idle temp of 110 degrees, an operating temp of 170 degrees and a time of 140 seconds, but we do have some customers that report excellent colours by setting a time of only 80 seconds with the Ricoh printer using our mug presses'

This is the info off BMS own website for ceramic mug printing so wonder if this might be of some assistance?

I had some problems with my first few outputs and on advice from BMS I now set my heat press at 170 for 50 seconds and prewarm the mug.....works every time now.

I too have the press set at 170 but time is 70 seconds - not had any problems with these settings either.

Certainly looks like over cooking - lower your temp and lower your time. What time/ temp combination are you using?
