Sure, - the commercialization of the games suck, - so that we cannot print hoops on T's for pubs that want to show events in public or whatever, and yes, I know that the money involved is beyond imagination.
The decision for the games was mad way before the current economic crisis, so those comments can be ignored.
My kids, my customers, and my city are really sporting up. OK - I am not a jock, - I don't do sport, the first bit of the sunday paper to get used for fire lighting is the sport section, but the bigger picture is what is important. 2012 will be a landmark year, and I hope for the right reasons.
The legacy means that the east end of London gets the redevelopment that would never have happened otherwise, and sure, it is, and always will be a case of London, and 'all the rest of the uk' - but the rest of the uk needs london, and since we have the games, I am going to make the most of them.
We have printed official kit for quite a few competitors, and loads of support stuff for friends and rellies.
In summary, games good, commercial side bad.

in my view its got nothing to do with sport or ideals. Its all about money. Money for organisers, money for competitors, money. The great and the good will get all the best seats and events and the normal everyday bloke and blokess will pay over the top for the 100m hoopla.

Cynical - maybe. The decision to overturn the drug cheat ban even makes it worse. No one ever thinks of the bloke who missed out on a medal because of a cheat. If you cheat then you deserve to be banned for life and lose all your funds and even pay back your sponsors. If that was the rule then people would look harder before doing it. Again too much money.

As for regeneration - look at The Dome - we built it and lost a fortune, then sold it to a private firm at a knock down price and its now the O2 making absolute sh*tloads.

You can fool some of the people some of the time but you cant fool all of the people all of the time

If you are licensed I was wondering about the cost of getting licensed.

Team GB competitors have a huge file of garment specification which their apparel must adhier to, we have never created full kit, simply added decor completly following the rules for Team GB.
The rules were a complete headache to interprit, but local athletes do have some local options, my business simply added details as requested following the rules supplied, I must say they we have never done 5 hoops, or L'don 2011+1 or anything like that.

As a non sports fan, perhaps I can agree that every Olympic games has been something of a none event, but since UK is hosting them, I want them to do well!
