Hi, i have just costed some 500ml water bottles up and was interested how much people normally charge for these things.

I have done allot of costings infact and some things work out more than i thought they would with mark up over heads paper ink etc..

I work for a school and we do sublimation in our technology classes and sell customized stuff to staff and students.

I tried an iphone 4 case and it came out brilliant, we are now selling the iphone 4 case, custom printed for £4 each

The water bottles we sell at £5 each.

THE BEST THING TO DO BUD - is google the product you want to know prices for - look at the top 5 listings on google for the people/companys sublimating that particular product, and that will give you an average price to set yours at...
what i did, but then again, i will have a web site up and going by aug 2012, so i HAVE to look at competitors prices....
But it still stands even if you dont have a web site.
Prices on here go from stupid low - ££££'s......hence "booflegem" selling iphone cases @ £4 each .....
I personally wouldnt even waste my time printing/selling them at that price......way to many overheads to cover  - even if it is to staff & students...but then again - he's prob not paying for any of the stock / elec ect, so .....

we are a school though and can't make massive profits, hence the low prices, trust me if we could we all would be alot richer.

Some people i have seen selling the iphone 4 case from £10 to £15

that about the average price bud £9.99 - £14.00 - it used to be a lot more till everyone started doing them, then obviuosly, the prices drops as more people flood the market with em....

i seen one company on a google top 6 listing selling for £27 !!...who the hell's gonna pay £27 for an iphone sub case - M.A.D....or to much money to throw away lol

I guess it depends on the artwork on the case, if it was a limited edition or one-off design on an iPhone case by a respected/well-known artist, then £27 may not be a bad price, or is even a low price.
The substrate is just a canvas - the artwork on it is the important and what people are paying for.

For wholesale (i.e. not one-offs) we charge around the £4 mark mentioned by booflegem. Although I question to business mind of the school for not seeing more revenue creation in charging more realistic prices for the products they are printing. Don't see it (or even call the money you raise profit) refer to it as funding.
