Glad you got it I would never criticize anybody work, i did mean the wording in genera, to close to the edge and the paper slips its a wasted mouse mat, I also put mine in a bag with thin cardboard underneath, it gives a better presentation professorial look, it looks like your work might be slightly upmarket for which they will pay and the cost of the bags ect can be included in the cost. The bags I buy can be brought from any craft stall at a very reasonable price, this is just a suggestion and I'm not trying you how to suck eggs, they have the added bonus of keeping it clean and free from sticky fingers when customers pick up your work.

mousemats bought from coralgraph come in clear bags which are re-usable ....which i will be doing....
And, nice idea for the cardboard - just need to find where to get it cheap enough, so it doesnt eat into the already little profit :rolleyes:

gonna buy some more/differant stock tomorrow to practice on, so i got a feel for the temps of these press's. on differant products.

i welcome ALL ideas / comments......withing reason.....anything about my sub work i welcome....it is only my first time using the press's, so i cant complain.

As best i can without any machines paul....then yes !

No. Is not then is inposible to calibrate monitor by eye.
You can tweek colors and brigtnes but it wont calibrat properly. It would be worth to ask yor friends. Somone might jave some kind of spider for screen calibtlration. This would ne good start.

as paul says get a proper calibrator - if your doing portraits you definitely need it to get the skin tones right.

colours are deffo better in that last batch, its a lovely feeling when it goes right, we printed 120 mugs last week for one customer, sick of the sight of them - then noticed 3 of them were upsidedown - which at least gave us a laugh - took them down to him and he has used them on a high shelf for display and they wont get dust in them !!! see everything has its use.

i have been following your ups and downs for so long now, its been good seeing what you are producing - honestly, like i said earlier its a lovelyfeeling, i hope you have warned your family and friends that xmas and birthday presents will never be the same again :biggrin:

You can get fairly cheap monitor-only ones (I have an old Spyder2 from way back), but if your printer isn't profiled then just doing the monitor isn't really going to help much. It's also worth considering that, if your monitor is a cheap (or old) one, there's only so much the profiler can do to fix it. I have a couple of screens here and my main 19", though calibrated, isn't very accurate. I need to get it replaced with one that can be better calibrated.

Profilers that do printers as well as monitors tend to get expensive. The one I have is adequate (the ability to scan a spot colour makes it invaluable to me). The device Paul has is just superb (I haven't seen the device, only the results!), but I think you have to sell the soul of your firstborn in order to be able to afford it... :redface:

profile sent for to paul......hopefully when done/recieved, i should see some differance...., then might just buy the spyder express 4 or the pro version....see whats best for the money ! ....not to expensive compared to some !!

just read up on some of the user reviews for the spyder products and THEY SUCK ! :rolleyes:....ah well, just saved £116.....NEXT !
