Not sure if I'll be able to make it this year Will do my best though.

I was thinking that it would be great for the DSF to get some sort of advertising through the P&P show. I checked prices for the P&P magazine and they were pretty much as expected. Bit out of our league right now!

I did wonder about getting leaflets distributed, anyone got any other ideas? Just seems a shame to have so many potential/existing sublimators under one roof and not let them know about the DSF!

I would have thought that the answer was obvious. Why not have a little competition on the forum for an A4 Subli T Shirt Design which would advertise the site ( and possibly a vinyl design too).
We can all vote on it and the winner will make the design available to us all to make the shirt(after all its what most of us do) which we can wear at the show.
I am sure that over the 3 days if enough people are walking around with a DSF shirt on, it would advertise the site. Also it would help us recognise each other on the day .

Well I did make it. My first time therefore not really knowing what to expect. Good place to go if your in the market for expensive equipment, ie Embrodiery machines & DTG, but apart from that I don't think I'll be going again unless there is some great innovation in the market which is a must see.

Probably the one thing I was impressed with was the WOW stuff from Magic Touch. I spoke to Jim Nichol, the MD, and he talks the talk, you can see why they do so well

This is good stuff, but expensive at around £130 +vat for 50 prints of A4. Certainly offers complex colour printing onto dark garments but needs some practice to get it perfect.

Like Martin said, its good stuff - but it seems a right chore to get one shirt printed. I saw it demo'd at a show a few years back and he makes it look easy - but i know someone that has this and doesn't get on with it at all.

We looked at WOW a while back and whilst the results do certainly look good, price wise it was verrrry expensive. We printed our own solvent transfers which proved easier and better. Even on a very short run of prints screen printing can work out cheaper than Wow and imo gives a better end product.

Not if you haven't got room for screen printing

I'm fully aware that the demo would have been well practised. The first thing that I thought of was that you only to need to make a couiple of screw ups and the profit is gone.

We had all intentions of going to the show today but ran out of time! So we're going on Tuesday instead.

Floor space at the show cost £270 + VAT per square metre! Hardly surprising therefore that only the big hitters can afford to display!

More and more companies seem to be doing their own roadshows now. Maybe a show aimed more at the small format user would have a greater benefit?
