Re: Recommend a Printer
You'll find plenty of discussions around the forum about this one, basically you're limited by the few that are Sawgrass approved for sublimation work. The printers themselves are cheap enough it's the initial outlay for the inks that you'll find a little heavier.
Here's a couple of links to point you in the right direction:

http://www.listawoodtradesupplies.com/p ... &gid=EPSON
Here's a list of UK suppliers:

First decision would be A4 or A3.

Re: Recommend a Printer
OK, if you don't need supported you can use a number of printers, S21/S22/P50 are all good for sublimation and refil carts are readily available.
You'd need to get a profile made once you have your printer.
Please bear in mind if the inks you're using aren't Sawgrass approved we can't discuss them here

Re: Recommend a Printer
I doubt the cart or profile would work. Take a look at the carts on eBay and check the part numbers or both printers. I would always recommend a new profile for any printer.

I think it might be a good idea to merge the two posts you have running as this is starting to cross over?
Re: Recommend a Printer
Yea i was hoping to avoid that. I was hoping to get first hand knowledge of a good printer and cartridge that is 100% compatable here.

Re: Recommend a Printer
Nothing's ever 100% guaranteed. The idea behind the Sawgrass approved route is you get the support which is based on extensive testing of the printer and inks.
I've personally tested the S21 and P50 over a considerable time period and have personally found them both to be faultless. You can get an S22 off eBay for £10, carts a little more but well worth a try if you need a quick fix.
