Re: Clothing Suppliers

Post by Stitch Up »

It's an often asked question: "Where can I buy clothing?"

This isn't an exhaustive list of suppliers but good for starters and I'm sure it can be added to.

Well done John.

I rarely do clothing these days but when we did a bit we mostly used a company which never seems to come up with others. Decent pricing and a breakaway from the usual brands and I'd highly recommend them.

http://www.fusiblesystems.co.uk - The brand is often called James Nicholson and they are delivered direct from Germany but the link is the British supplier.

Love the range of that supplier Andrew, so much so I've registered. Not sure why you need a registration number though, it's the first time I've come across that from a supplier. I'm not VAT registered so they may not want me :-( - we'll see.

They probably just think it's a safe way of making sure it's trade only but obviously there is a issue for non-vat reg. It's a family run business and they are very nice/helpful if you give them a call. Neil is the main guy there but likely the daughter (Gemma?) will answer the phone. They do all of the shows but never seem to get a mention which is a pity as they are very good.

I am starting to work a little from home but obviously don't have a VAT number or anything as yet, is there a clothing supplier I can join without a need for this? I will pay in full for my order at the time of ordering. I work in the trade so know the suppliers but getting my own account will be difficult. I have seen polo-shirts.co.uk and they seem fine but was hoping to get a wholesale account also..

any ideas?
many thanks
