Re: oh my, now i need pigment ink. anyone recommend a brand/supplier?
sorted the sublimation ink question, new printer on the way for that. thanks everyone.
now i'm needing to source some pigment ink for my existing printer (epson b1100) that will be used for general printing, running off screens for screen printing and importantly for heatpress transfers.
as i understand i'll benefit from also having that printer set up with a custom icc profile, so i'm looking for a UK source that sells in smallish amounts (100mm) with a view to consistency, quality and price.
i've been looking on google but its a bit like pinning a tail on a donkey, can anyone make a suggestion where to shop?

Why not buy this direct. Image Specialists in the US offer this ink specifically formulated for different types of printers.

best ink would be lyson. they also provide icc profiles for quite few printers but i think you only want to print on transfers.. is that correct?
iAlso you can try coralgraf for pigment ink.

I would recommend Image Specialists. We used to sell pigmented ink for Epson printers - predominantly aimed at the professional market with bulk cartridges and would source from Image Specialists. Lyson have a good reputation also and Marrutt would be your best port of call (and based in the UK). I've known of the Lyson inks to be used with excellent results with bespoke RIP software especially in the B&W photo reproduction market.John G;42479 wrote:Never used this ink, or bought of the company, but is this link any good:

thanks guys, i'll look further at the suggestions.
think importing direct though will have to wait a while, but good call and worth having in the back pocket for future consideration.
out of cuiosity does anyone have any experience of the pigment inks from cityinkexpress? i keyword searched the forum but most chat is about their ciss system.
