any one ever come across this one before
it only happens when i try to use my roland GX24
when i switch it on it comes up with the above error,
it wipes my 3 printers off the system,the only way to fix it is with a system restore
then when i try again it falls over again
heres hoping someone knows whaat to do

Resolution For – Print Spooler Service Keeps Stopping

-First thing to check is if there is an updated version of your printer driver. An out of date driver could be causing the issue of Print Spooler Keeps Stopping. Go to the printers official website and search for an updated driver.

-Run windows update, it is possible that microsoft have released a hotfix which fixes the issue Print Spooler Service Keeps Stopping.

-Corupt print job causing this? Stop the spooler service and go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete any files in there and then restart your print spooler

-Delete all printers from the printer folder. While in the printers folder also go up to File > Server Properties and delete all of the drivers listed.

-Check the eventvwr for spooler issues. Click start and run and type in eventvwr hit enter, look in the application + security sections for errors about the print spooler, if you find any google the error code to see if there are any specific fixes for the Print Spooler Keeps Stopping error

-Try a different printer driver, the printer driver might not be compatable with your version of windows / printer. If you are using a hp laserjet 4050 driver try using the hp laserjet 4000 driver

-Scan your computer for spyware / viruses

You might encounter the error "Spooler Subsystem App stopped working and was closed" in Windows XP and Windows Vista, And the printer is usually HP which causes the printer spooler to stop.

Try the following to resolve Spooler Subsystem App stopped working and was closed error

Check the windows service

Click on start > Run and type in services.msc and hit enter. Scroll down to the “Printer Spooler” service, Right click on this service and select start. Click the general tab and make sure the service startup is set to automatic, Click on the recovery tab and select “Restart the service” for all three drop down boxes. Now if the spooler subsystem app stopped working your system will try three times to restart the printer spooler service.

Turn off Internet Print Client

Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features, In the left side, Click "Turn Windows features on or off" Click + sign of Print services, Check Mark and select LPD and LPR. You should remove the check box against "Internet Printing Client". Restart your PC. Then click start > run and type in eventvwr and hit enter, Now search the logs for any spooler errors you might have

Uninstall and Re-Install Your Printers

Deleting and re-installing your printers will “Refresh” the printer settings. Click Start > Control Panel > Printers > Right Click on all printers one at a time and select delete. Then add each printer back one at a time printing test pages if possible after you add every printer to see if the Subsystem App stopped working and was closed error comes back. If the error does come back for a certain printer try to update the drivers as per below.

Update Printer Drivers

Take a look at what driver your printer is using, Click Start > Control Panel > Printers > Right Click on all printers one at a time and select properties, Note down what driver the printer is using. Now download the latest driver for that printer and install it on your computer.

Q : I don’t have the run option in my start menu
A : if you don't have Run in the Start Menu then hold the Windows Key on the keyboard and press R.

done a fresh install and alls well
