Re: Conde News - DyeTrans GX e3300N Sublimation Printer

Post by Justin »

Conde have just announced the GXe3300N printer for sublimation.....

http://www.dyetrans.com/browse_ricoh?printer=E3300N

oyyy.co.uk have in stock for £110 and £20 cashback which seems very good. Print speed is slower than the 5050 and I wonder if this would make a difference to quality, I often thought the 5050 was just printing too quickly.

Is there an A3 out as well?

GX7000 is still a current model so I don't think it likely that it will be replaced just yet. It's difficult to get hold of though!

Still some GX5050's around though and about the same price as buying the GX3300 (with Subli-JetR inks). No reason, yet, to think about buying the GX3300 over the GX5050 if GX3300 is slower. Ricoh's are faster printers - they have a much larger printhead so can get more ink down in each sweep.

I'm glad I've finished playing catch-up! No sooner is a model launched than they produce something else.

BTW I must remember to click the Submit button & NOT the Save button!!!

My 5050 is about to go back and get replaced....I hope, just wanted to make sure they were still available. I wondered if the 3300 was any better.

Ricoh GXe3300N with SubliJetR inks launches in the UK February 22nd,
SubliJetR cartridges retail at £40 +vat each (not sure of volume of ink yet but they aren't the same as the GX5050/ GX7000),
Supported with PowerDriver software rather than ICC profiles.

Prices of GXe33300N and set of SubliJetR inks could be around £300 - £350 +vat (or more depending where you're looking...)

I've also noticed that sawgrass have announced the Artainium system for the Workforce 11000 in the states. This looks like the B1100 over here, so will it be the same system ?
