what amazes me is how some of you open up an image prepared for rotech inks with a ICC sawgrass profile and then say it works by using the power driver

Well there lies the problem - you don't change and save an image to suit a profile. There's so many variables like type of substrate, inks, press, temp, time, paper - and unless you were never ever going to change any of these, then it would work - but just a change in heat press blanket and your system fails.

And changing your monitor colours to view a certain colour - IMO is just plain crazy - everything else is going to be off kilter.

Never tried with CMYK. I saw everybody printing in RGB for Sublimation.
I will try later with CMYK and let you know.

Have to disagree with these posts. Our images are just as sharp comparing Epson and Ricoh and we've printed with numerous A4 & A3 Epson printers as well as the GXe3300 and GXe7000 printers. The photo acrylic blocks which are sold into a major high street photography chain and they print using Ricoh printers with crisp vibrant end results.

Clearly you guys have some issues printing. An image isn't created with a profile, only used to change colours when printing. With the red issue have you tried changing your image to CMYK rather than RGB?

So, is not a monitor calibration power...
All images and texts writen by myself with 255,0,0 RGB are pink....

I noticed tonight that the Power driver has a saturation setting in option, i may have a play around with that

today i have had a complete day to look at the settings on my Ricoh GXe3300n with the power driver. Before today i was using the normal Gel Driver, thing is today i decided to give it a full chance and have some very good results. The thing is, I use Word to print my designs, i print 2x on a A4 for Mugs. We have a lot of designs for returning customers. I do local football and rugby clubs, infact scouts all kind i am sure some of you are the same. we have close to 2000 designs with differing badges and colours. anyway I have been using word with the gel sprinter. today decided to have a complete go at getting the colours right, its a bit hit and miss but the main thing is to have the image as PSD. luckily its one thing we do have for all designs in photoshop CS5. I found i have had some great results by taking my design and using the saturation and hue, changing the layers individually and making it brighter or darker depending on the image and more saturated. saving the PSD and the Jpeg. Next open up MS word and paste the image in. MS word 2010 has some of its own saturation effects but these are not as changable as photoshop, but still useful as if you print a quick single image you can make a slight change to colour intensity and you can make it slightly sharper as well. Then i cut and pasted a second one and printed with the Power driver. as i say this is the method i will be using from now as with the power driver the images came out using this method, crystal clear! i used around 10 mugs and around 50 sheets of paper, as i said i did a lot of testing. I'd say my images are way way better than anything the Epson 1400 or D120 that i was using.

Glad you got sorted - I think the problem you where having originally is because you were printing from WORD with a profile - the profile isn't compatible with Word so therefore it won't be doing its job correctly.
Word IS compatible with Powerdriver however so your results should be better. Why anybody prints from Word is a mystery to me though - its a typewriter

I can't use PowerDriver, because is just for Windows. I use only Macintosh computers in all locations where are Ricoh printers.
Now i'm waiting for a custom icc profile from Paul.

Word (and any other software) can be compatible with the profile. It depends on the printer and printer driver. If the printer driver allows you to you set it up to use the custom profile, then any software that prints to it will use that profile. It's just what the PowerDriver software does (I believe), only you have to work it out yourself.
