Converting an image to a vector format

That's going to mean some sleepless nights wondering what your secret method is then.......John G;40797 wrote:Its a secret
Re: Converting an image to a vector format
Sorry, just kidding.
Tidied it up in photoshop, converted the red to black using levels, blurred it, sharpened it, saved it as photoshop file. Imported it into coreldraw, traced it, tidied a few nodes then saved it as corel and an eps for Angie.
It may be long winded, and the wrong way to do it, but I get usable results. The original was too bad an image to do a straight trace in corel, as I normally do.
Cheers John

Well done....I wish I could get to grips with photoshop. I've got Corel and Signlab and am only just getting to grips with Corel (after 3 years) so there's not a chance with photoshop at the moment.

I feel in the same boat, I have been using coral for a while and able to use for what I need to get me by, but photoshop I despare sometimes. Is there such a thing as training days  coz I am no good at reading up on manuals. I had a ribbon printer fo christmas and it's still in the box, the thought of more software to learn lol. I will have to take a day off work to play.RogerC;40837 wrote:Well done....I wish I could get to grips with photoshop. Hi Angie,
I posted this Tutorial site in another post and I know (your) John also uses him as well. http://www.advancedartist.com/
A great site for learning Corel. I do everything that John.G does but in Corel and I learnt most from this site.
I hope Johns having a great time sunning himself in Barcalona.

Glad you like it Roger.
I bought his Power Training so I could learn at leisure ( in bed at night) http://www.advancedartist.com/coreldrawtraining4.html
One of the best $60 I have spent.
