Flock on Fruits of the loom polo

Hi everyone, hope someone can advise me! Have just printed some logos on to subli flock and pressed them on to some red Polos. Problem is that the customer has just contacted me and the colour has run from the polos in to the white on the subli flock logo.

Has anyone had this problem? Can I remove the subliflock logos?

Any advise would be greatfully received.....

We had a similar problem with subli flock on some polyester bags, we were told to reduce the temp to a max of 150, not tried it yet but i thought it was only a problem on polyester.

I presume this is a problem of the dye in the polo shirt running when washed. There is the flex/flock removal spray that might help to remove it so you can repress on the same area, but will the problem simply re-occur when they wash the item again?

We are going to do the designs in Vinyl instead. The Polo was a heavey weight FOTL from pencarrie. Used them before without any problem. Thanks for your comment though.

If this was after washing, what temp did they wash them at, and did you offer them washing/ironing instructions.

They assure me that they washed them according to the instructions that we give with all garments. I can only believe them!! and I have no reason to doubt them. Thanks for the comment :biggrin:

i normally give them new washing instructions ie 30 degree washes if i have put 3G opaque or similar on, i have made up some and literally press them onto the inside of the garment, and remove if possible the original washing tag - i know its a PITA to do, but a 100% cotton polo people will assume it can go on a hot wash, whats normal for some 40/50 degrees is no good once printed
