Re: Hello all

Post by North guy »

Hi everyone, just thought I'd say hello as I've just joined the forum.
The forum looks great!

Ive been selling personalised things like key rings, pens, magnets and car signs etc for 3 or so years now but wanted to expand my business.
So, I've just spent a small fortune on a Ricoh 3300 printer, a mug press, paper, tape and 72 mugs to move into sublimation.
The only part I'm worried about is using photoshop elements 10, I don't think I shall be very good at using it and have no idea in how to use it and mirror the image for example.

I also dabble in Facebook marketing and providing Facebook likes etc.

Hey maybe if someone can help me with photoshop I can give you 500 likes to your Facebook page? :-)

Anyway, I won't go on any further , nice to meet you all

Welcome to the forum,

If you do keyrings, pens, mags and signs - surely you're used to a certain design program by now
The powerdriver mirrors your image, its all in the settings

Hi John,

Cheers for the welcome :-)

Ive been using a simple bit of software to print image to insert into acrylic so this is a whole new ball game for me.
I don't understand power drivers or anything like that, I know I'll be ok once I get going but it's getting going lol
are you a photoshop pro? Lol

You use the Powerdriver to print with a Ricoh 3300, it sorts everything out, ink/profile wise, and even flips the image. Its a free download from Sawgrass site, or it may come on a disc with your printer, depending on where you bought it.

If you're taking this seriously, and offering personalised items, you really need a good design program. Coreldraw would be a good start, especially as you're doing signs etc, but there are cheaper programs available.

Cheers John

I've just purchased photoshop elements 10 which should be here soon as people I have talked to say its the best software to use.

I take everything seriously, I don't have a sense of humour lol

I could just do with a step by step guide to follow until I get used to it :-)
