Please don't edit the thread when sold, we can amend the thread title to reflect this, just makes it better for future reading. Just reply to the thread and say it's sold, we'll do the rest :-)

Mattie... I'm afraid I am having numerous issue with the printer. Firstly your original post did state that the ink levels were full and you had a picture showing this, they now show all inks half full or below (see pic). I also cannot get it to print, it pulls in the paper ready to print and then halts and the 2 top LEDs start to flash. According to the manual it states: "Paper may be blocking movement of the print head or the printer may have an internal error." There is nothing blocking the print head so I can only conclude that it has an internal error? Please advise as I am getting nowhere with this printer?

Hi Mattie... me again. Well after spending all night trying to get the printer to work I'm afraid I have given up. From all I have seen and read about the 2 flashing LEDs (paper and ink lights) flashing rapidly and the power light off indicates a serious internal error. I have tried the printer on 2 PCs, 1 a Windows 7 PC and also a Win XP laptop, both do exactly the same thing, I've also tried with another USB cable but still no luck.

It cannot print a full page without it going into that error state, you then have to power off the printer, then power back on after a short while, the printer will then eject the partially printed page. I've tried everything, nothing works. At this stage Mattie I think I will have no choice but to return the printer to you for a refund which is a shame as I thought this was a little bargain for me.

Is it possible the couriers were not particularly gentle with it and damaged it in some way? If so surely you can get compensation from them? I must say that the box does not look damaged though so I don't really know.

Anyway, it's been a frustrating night. I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow?

Regards, Philip

Well.. I was not expecting to get this from a forum member who runs a business as well, this is Mattie's email response to me:

Hi Philip

Sorry you are having trouble with the printer, i did state in my email to you that we have used it for a few posters. With regards to the printing problem the printer left me in perfect working order and if the box is not damaged then i'm not sure what has happened, i've never getting an error like that before.
I'm not prepared to refund as the problem did not acur at my end and if the box is not damaged then it couldn't of been the courier.

Mattie, I am prepared to try any suggestions you have to get it working? Can I also add that when I opened up the top of the ink holder there was a pool of black ink on top of the black ink cartridge which I had to soak up with tissues, maybe the courier had the printer upside down for some time and ink leaked but this can't be good for the printer. I can try and replace all the cartridges with the new ones that it came with but if that doen't work then there's nothing else I can try.

I am not saying that you sent me a faulty printer, but that is certainly what I received. May I also say that I bought this printer from your business (i want it personalised) and even though it is 2nd hand you still have to comply with DSR regulations.

Have a read through this....could be the same error? I have a reset program here for the 1400...might be the same.

Justin, I've had a read but on this one the LEDs are both flashing together, very fast, not alternating as in the link.
