Buying a new Printer

Im on my second 1400 Epson with a bulk ink subli system. Sometime soon I will need to replace it. I do not need A3 anymore as I have recently bought a DTG machine.
Which new, A4 printer would you suggest? I only need it for Mugs and the occasional mouse pad.
I´d appreciate your thoughts.

I may sound like a broken record, but I would recommend the GXe3300n. We have one ourselves in the office. Hassle free printing and little or no head cleans required!

Do you have a lot of ink left for your printer? Have you got a colour profile set up for it? If so then another 1400 may be the cheapest option.
There are quite a few epson printers out there that could use your ink, but most of the cheap ones are VERY slow. Now that the 1430 is out, the 1400 is quite cheap.

Slightly off topic Earl but how are you getting on with your DTG ? We have been researching them for about a year now (well my dad has) Have you had it long?

Imme, Ive recently bought a new 1400 because the old one is worn out. It was 3 years old. Now the new one is here I have found that my inks are no longer made/stocked. ( Lyson). So either I buy a complete set of inks or a new printer. I think the printer is the better choice as it is now only for mugs.

ALJA. Your question about the DTG. I got mine in July last year. Very happy with it but it takes a bit to learn. If you get one I would suggest getting it at the start of the year so you can build up a customer base before winter comes. If you want to know more then please PM me, I will be happy to help.

Ricoh every time....no worries about print heads drying if only occasional use....simples.

Lyson still making sublimation inks, although different to what they made before, to the point that they say you ave to flush out the old ink before using the new.
Lyson are a proper ink manufacturer, making lots of high quality printing inks for professional use.
