As much as I enjoyed Robert Downey JR in "Iron Man", I'm not sure about his Sherlock Holmes. Much of what I've read suggests it's continuing the modern trend of downplaying intelligence in favour of action.
Still, it can't be any worse than the last couple of BBC or Hallmark efforts.
On the subject of Sherlock Holmes, I'm currently working through DVDs of the Ronald Howard Sherlock Holmes TV series from 1954. It's very enjoyable for something that's black & white. I'd recommend it to anyone who has a passing interest in Sherlock Holmes.
