I've had this before Harry and it could be various things.

Firstly, are you using a continuous ink system (CIS) or individual cartridges?

If using the CIS I often found the best way was to click 'change cartridges', getting the head in the position to change. Take out the cartridges, then replace them back where they came from, and wait for the ink to refill (you may have to click on the re-set button depending on the CIS system you have).

It's worth a shot before doing anything else ............

epson 1400 printer, funky leopard paper, i tried removing the cartridges and replacing them, lines still appeared, nozzle check was still 100% perfect, did head cleans to see if that would shifts the lines, did more head realignement, so i gave up and i took the printer back to the shop i brought it from last weekend and they gave me a new one fingers crossed this will be ok (5 printer in 1 year)

Did you buy the whole set-up from a shop, or just the printer. If just the printer, and you've been running sub inks through a CISS into it, then they're a good shop for taking it back.

You just replace the sublimation cartridges with original ones & then they don't know.

Epson will know, but if the retailer has already swapped the printer then it's too late to do anything about it.

My brother-in-law used to do Epson Express Centre work (not sure if he still does) has a hatred of CISS and sub inks, from one customer who brought one into the shop and proceeded to spill it everywhere! He doesn't like our business at all! LOL
