tree chart

has anyone done any kind of family tree sub printing? for example tree chart on an sub plaque or even on an mug?
im just looking for ideas as such anyone have any info on this?

i have printed many, using a wide format printer, and they tend to get VERY big, so cannot see how you could fit anything much on less than A3.
The family tree software usually creates a PDF of the tree, so you can rasterize it in photoshop for selective sub printing
