Re: ICC profile (need little help)

Post by cardman »

just a quick one i think

have been printing a few cups and they sort of coming out kk but something that was pointed out to me is that the colors somehow look a little washed out
The setup i have was brought complete from ebay so what i have is what i was given

anyway the printer i have is an epson s22 but yet the icc profile in adode elements is named as follows :

Rotech_D120_RGB_v2.5

different printer aint it - or is it just me

like i say im new to this

(in the printer options is 2 printers installed on this laptop - 1 - epson s22 and 2 - D120)

thanks

Hi! some people use offcial profile from D120 with s21/s22 as both of them are 4 colors printers i belive. some people get ok ish color reproduction and happy with them but i wouldn't expect to much of this setup :) Again... is proved that s21/22 can give exellent prints as quite few guy on here are using it and are very happy.

profile may be ok. but not for your printer.
If you already got profile just click on it right mouse button and click instal. then when you printing from elements you should see this profile on drop down menu.
if not. Custom profile will be good for you ;)

Paul, I use the D88 profile which works for me & my S21. Don't forget the D120 has 2 blacks although I don't know if this would make any difference with the profile.

it would! I didn't knew that it has 2 blacks! Cardman, so you would be better of to use this same profile as Ian! it may improve your colors.
