Re: Beware scam email orders

Post by Reg »

Just to let you all know I'm receiving email orders from overseas which are a scam you have to pay a courier in Europe up front by bank transfer to deliver the goods to South Korea there was a warning in the FSB news saying they are using yahoo email addresses but they seem to have switched to gmail for the order and the courier company.

Hello,
I want to place an order for some items from your store. The items will be shipped internationally and i will be paying with my credit card.
Let me know if you accept credit card as a form of payment and if items from your store can be shipped internationally.
I hope to get a fast response from you so that we can proceed with the Order.
Kind Regards,)

FSB say that small businesses are losing up to 2750 pounds per year so some are getting caught by this.

yes i was amazed when i read the article too, but some people are just not sharp, i think perhaps a lot of (and yes i hate to say it) older people who are new to the internet, and cannot believe scams can come into their business email, perhaps they also get their computer repaired remotley when the nice man from windows phones up.

who would pay a courier up front to deliver goods ??

when the emails come through they never say what item it is they are interestd in, thats a clue as surely someone genuinely interested would say Hi mugs & things, am interested in the photoframes you sell, do you ship overseas? is it possible that you would ship to me in ....... can you advise me fully shipped prices.
