Re: RICOH GXe3300N PRINTING PROBLEM

Post by matees »

Evening all, Can anyone help me with this problem?
I'm printing from corel draw 15 to the ricoh 3300. I have had some problems with blocks of black (i do a lot of block capital letters on some mug) print.
They come out a brownish colour, Have spoken to the magictouch about this problem and they say print mugs at 190 for 120 seconds.
But all of a sudden the colours are looking watery.Tried running head cleans and various other thing but can not seem to sort this out.
I'm using the same paper as I 've always used, using full cartridges (problem started when using old cartridges).
Can anyone help??

Only time my blacks came out brown on my mugs, was when I was over heating them..

I use a mug oven and clamps.. but only do mine on 180 for 15 mins.. not sure with a press i'm afraid...

Typical time for mugs in a press is 180 seconds at 180c if putting into press at working temp. Do you get a good nozzle check?

Would agree that it may be too much heat mine are all done using 180/180 and no problems at all. I first used 190/160 as someone suggested but the blacks came out brown.

Also are you using the power driver with your Ricoh, again i ask because i didn't to begin with and some colours were good, some colours were OK 'ish' and the rest was terrible!

The main problem seem to be the watery colours. I dont use the power driver just click "print" on corel draw then click "quality print" and "ink jet paper"
never had a problem with this until 3-4 days ago..To be honest it could not have happened at a worse time .
cheers

I use the power driver and have no problem with the colour, I press for 180 sec at 180 degrees on a cheap Chinese mug press and the results are great, I would give the power driver a go, this may solve your problem

We had a batch of paper from TMT which was great on mousemats and cloth things but was poor on mugs and travel mugs and metals. All our blacks were coming out brownish and reds were washed out. Owen sent some of their new paper and it was fine (We didnt alter any settings - never have) The paper was quite see through The new stuff is thicker. We had used the thinner paper for quite a while and it was fine. It might help you.

The first thing i would do would be to download the power driver, you will notice the difference.
