Hi
I'm just about to set up my new pinter, I looked at a youtube video on how to set it up and at the end it says that I shoul leave the printer powered on at all times, where I am using the printer it's not possible for me to leave it switched on at all times, will it have a big impact if I switch it off after use.

It'll be OK to switch off - I switch my Ricoh 5050n off everynight. I think the only reason they ask you to leave it on is to save on ink - I think it does a small head clean on start up.

I switch mine off everytime after use too.. I agree it potentially uses a small amount of ink on start up..

I too recently set one of these up, I plugged it in to a UPS so it didn't get powered off after reading and watching videos about it. I'd love to know how much ink it actually does waste on each power up cycle.
