Hi guys,

I have an Adkins (badged Xpres) swing heat press to sell, it is missing a platen (which are £75-£150 depending which size you need) its the lcd screen model, heats up nice and evenly and arguably one of the best makes you can buy.

Built dec 99 according to the registration plate, is in full working order, gives a nice even heat off the plate with no cold spots, i was using as a spare but space requirements mean i am now looking to sell.

Model number is badged BM120X, its the 38x50cm model and can take a variety of different sized platens. has buttons to control the temp which can be seen through the lcd screen.

Please note this is a VERY heavy item, weighing approx 60kg so collection only, or arrange your own courier to collect.

These units retail at £900 + vat inc platen, so am looking for £325

This looks to be the same model as mine, all be it a little earlier. A far better press than the later version withe the grey upper platen.Looks like the lower platen missing. Have you contacted Adkins to check availability and cost?

Yes it the lower platen, the heat platen is there and working fine.

you can buy and fit which ever lower platen suits your needs, i was going to run two of these, but lack of space has killed that idea as they swing quite wide to fully clear the lower platen.

Platens can be bought from adkins, xpres and a host of other places

Only reason I ask is because the newer models have different platen fittings and are quick release.

my newer 08 model has a knob to release, however by the time its all cooled down im not sure it qualifies as quick release to use it hehe.

I will try my newer ones platen on it to see if they fit, the layout looks very similar to the newer one, with the possible exception of one bolt hole from what i can see on the floor.
