Re: b40w ink problem

Post by canvasmart »

Hi All,

Ive got major problem with my b40w printer with sawgrass ciss kit.

All of the colours work fine except the blue which is giving me a big headache.

In the nozzle check it is the same few lines that are missing everytime, i have tried numerous head cleans, leaving printer 24hrs, priming ciss kit, and I have just bought a can of ZAP!?? (whether it works or not).
I can only presume that the printhead itself is faulty, being as it is the same few lines that dont show on the nozzle check.

I have tried everything i can imagine to clear the printhead of a probable clog even neat isoprop alcohol on a rag for christ sake and it still wont work.

So can anyone suggest any other things I can try to convince myself that it isnt the printhead itself that has failed.

My other question is that If i end up throwing my printer in the bin would my ciss system fit in a b40wd or are the chipssets/cartridges different.

Thank you in advance

Mart

Have you put the genuine cartridges into the printer to see if it prints with those? This would help determine if the problem was printer related or CIS related.

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
I no longer have the originals that came with the printer, I think I used these in another printer.

However I have some compatibles for it which i will try later to see if it prints ok, not sure if it will make much difference if they are not the originals will it??

Thanks

Just need to rule out the CIS - if the compatibles work then okay, but if the printer doesn't work with the compatibles in then the question still arises - is it the printer or the compatibles?
