Hi

Just introducing myself.
I have been a photographer for longer than I can remember but now it is time to branch out.
I have surrendered my old trusty Epson 1400 to Sublimation ink and have purchased my first heat press. Now I plan to get up to speed and turn my photos into interesting artwork.
I plan on sublimating anything that I can coat and fit into a heat press so I am looking at some odd items as well as mugs, mouse-mats, t shirts etc.
I am sure all the questions I have will have been answered before so I am looking forward to reading old posts as much as joining in the current threads.

Cheers

Hello and welcome - are you coating items yourself? I've looked at digi coat and polycoat but not taken the plunge, please let me know how you get on with the coating - interested to know if it's worth doing (so that I can use local materials).
cheers

Thanks for the kind welcomes

I am planning on trying to coat mainly wooden items. As with photography, I usually try any different brands that I can get hold of and then settle on the one with the nicest packaging (only joking).
I haven't got up to speed with it yet but once I have tried a couple of suppliers I'll post some feedback.

Cheers

Rob
