i am using a CISS sublimation system but when i go to print a job if it has colour blue in it it prints out purple, does any one know thank you

I think if you search forum for "colour" keyword you may find out there is loads of people having this same problem. most of the tie is icc profile related or wrong times and temps also can give wrong colours.
ps. are we talking about print already pressed on the blanks?? or those on the paper?

Hi those on the paper, sorry the logo colour is very slight purple but when printed comes out very dark purple am just heat pressing my mug now to see what it comes out like

I was just about to say the same thing Paul

It's funny how prints look different when printed using sublimation inks - they normally look faded and not as vibrant. But, this is before the 'magic' has taken place with the ink doing all the work - you should find the image once pressed looks totally different.

If the image is still 'off' after pressing it could be either one thing, or many from the type of paper used, the ink used (is it supported) the icc profile used ...... etc.

When I first started doing sublimation I was using an unsupported printer and unsupported inks - with these being unsupported it meant there was no one to turn to in case of problems but more importantly no profile.

I didn't realy notice the problems at first as I was doing my own designs and didn't have anything to compare them with but when I started scanning photos and trying to put them onto placemats and mugs I was getting all sorts of colors (mainly blacks turning blue etc).

I'm now using a supported printer with inks and a supported icc profile which is 99.9% It will never be 100% unless I get a profile made for each item I make as the ink reacts with different substrates ..................... it's not perfect but like anyone who does this for a living - you start to become a perfectionist in everything you do!
