Hi busybusybee i agree that the pictures themselves are probably ok its the actual use of words such as Harley Davidson now i know that these type of items go very well but its no good pitching your advert as "a motor bike mug" this isnt going to get the customers you are aiming for .....what a mine field!!!!busybusybee;29964 wrote:, i think as far as copyright goes there on the edge!! But as there there own artwork i see no issues

Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
It is a huge mine field! Tbh apart from the cost issue's the copyright thing is the main reason i have avoided doing the music/famous people images theyve started providing!! Personally i think that's a rocky road to be on.
Quick question for other licensee's, do you find you have trouble downloading images sometimes, mainly in the evening's and on weekends?? I can download one image then the next minute they have no connection??

So far all my image downloads have been in the evening or weekends with no problems, the most I've downloaded in one session Is ten. Reg

I generally just go in for one or two at a time, using firefox it comes up with starting and that's it
Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
try pausing the download and re-starting it - I also have the same problem sometimes with firefox which doing this helps.busybusybee;30103 wrote:I generally just go in for one or two at a time, using firefox it comes up with starting and that's it

Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
Hi Guys
Ive had my reply back so i thought id post it here so you can all make your own minds up
Hi Brett
Thanks for your email and i would like to answer your issues as follows.
Koolart as you may be aware have been licensing for some 12 years and in that time we have NO LEGAL issues with any motor/bike manufacturer other than some minor disputes over how dealers list products.
We make it very clear that we are not offering official merchandise endorsed by any manufacturer and that the merchandise is koolart.
Our website lists names and we have no issues so this is not the problem, i feel the problem is down to dealer listing and it is very very rare considering we have over 130 dealers selling via own web sites or other platforms.
Ferrari well we have never seen a letter from any dealer about this and we make it clear to all dealers if anyone receives a request to have removed an image then we will deal with it, so i cannot confirm any correspondence to justify your claim.
If you list with a disclaimer which we provide and clearly list as koolart Ferrari T-Shirt then i would have no issue with that..
Hope this helps...
By the way i have attached September Licensing Info for you as it’s FREE this month to join...
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Robert Norman
I also spoke to Rob , a nice bloke , From what he tells me and if you believe it and i have no reason not to he has spent thousands trying to clarify the issue over copyright. His advice is basically follow the kool art guide lines by using their disclaimers and adertise the items correctly and you should be ok . The only issue i could possibly find is ebay. I dont for one minute thik the images are copyright infringements but ebay does tend to shoot first and ask questions later. Theres no way the owners at koolart can do anything about this so i feel there probably is still a bit of a risk but having said that you would have koolart on your side and all the legal paperwork to back things up . The main question would be can you afford to lose your ebay account for a couple of weeks while it got sorted ....ok time to ring ebay for their take on this i'll keep you informed of my findings

Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
I have a Koolart Licence and if am honest I am selling more koolart music. I bought all the packages which gives me everything. I also received 40 free credits, each credit is £2.50 each. I have had the Koolart licence for a good couple of months and only used 25 downloads. The best way is to use the low images for your listings, then when someone wants an image just download it using your free credits. You can then use this image over and over again. You are also on Koolart customers list, so if anyone goes on there website looking for Koolart supliers all your details will come up. Me personnelly think it is a good thing to have especially the VW images VW is a massive sell. I have been doing VW shows. hope this helps
