Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
Sold a few of the mobile phone pouches that I got from BMS at a craft fair I did today. I was impressed by the way they printed and people seemed to like them. I got asked several times though if they would fit an iPhone. Had to admit they probably wouldn't (plus they only just about squeeze a Blackberry in), so lost a few sales. Given the number of iPhones out there, anyone know of anywhere to buy these, or if not then it might be worth a supplier trying to source some?
Cheers,
Neil.

Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
I've got my iphone in one of these cases (a double sided one though from Magic Touch) and it fits perfectly? They are the same size as the ones from BMS just with 2 printable sides instead of 1.
There is just a tiny bit of the phone that sticks out of the end but I think its perfect that way, it makes it much easier to get it out again, lol.
I think a bigger case for the samsung galaxy II and other 4" screen phones would be a great addition though, we get many requests for these.

And what's all that about a "support jig" and "cooling jig" - both costing £50! That's £100 you're out before you even buy any cases.AdamB;29936 wrote:They look nice mate!

Only a fool would invest so much money in these cases with the iPhone 5 due out soon. No wonder the prices are so high - so they can rake in money from the early investors, knowing that they'll have to pay all over again for iPhone 5 cases.
They do look nice, though, but so many "nice" new products are just unsustainable due to the manufacturers keeping the prices so high.
Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
There are too many other phones now competing with the iPhone to just be doing 1 option. Wish there was a more simplified option of covering more of the popular phone choices. I believe the new iPhone is going to be bigger more like the latest Samsung and HTC touchscreens. I've got a new style pouch for this we are working on as we have done many of the original phone cases. Hopefully it will cover both medium and large phones. I think the neoprene cases are a great item with huge potential.

Re: iPhone size mobile pouches?
Hi....
Wow I am very surprised you think that £6.00 per case is a high price.... Currently the only way of decorating high quality iPhone cases is using VERY expensive 3D equipment at around 20k per machine and then using 3D film at about £10.00 per metre plus then the blank case is still about £3.00 to buy. Take at look at www.getuncommon.com or www.casemate.com these people are selling 10s of thousands of cases per month at around $30.00 each decorated (this is just iPhones)
What you get with Sublicase is for about £100.00 investment the ability to compete with these people. Once the iPhone 5 is launched we will work on the same solution and yes you will need to spend another £50.00 on a new jig to support the case so lets say for £500.00 you can be in business to produce STUNNING and I mean STUNNING high quality cases that sell at £15.00 to £20.00 RRP printed ...
You will also be pleased to hear we have just filed patents for the first sublimatable leather which is a major advancement in the industry and opens up tons of opportunities for high quality tech / phone cases which again will be easy to decorate but will provide much more quality than is currently available. We do not for one minute try to compete with the neoprene type cases from China thats not our business model. We produce high quality high value items ...
Hope that helps

Hi JSR.....
>And what's all that about a "support jig" and "cooling jig"
Erh ? You need an engineered jig to support the plastic to stop it crushing under the pressure from the heat press, the jig has to be engineered with a couple of thou tolerance to accommodate the shrinking of the plastic so that it fits the iPhone after its imaged and doesn't fall off
>That's £100 you're out before you even buy any cases.
Yup thats right £100.00 so that you can enter a market and sell covers to the 20+ million people that have iPhones at about £15.00 - £17.00 each giving you a profit of about £10.00 per case
>Only a fool would invest so much money in these cases with the iPhone 5 due out soon
There must be a lot of fools then as we have taken pre booked orders for 1000's of them and 2 of the UK's largest retailers are launching the product. Most people that are in business will not see a few hundred pounds as a barrier to entry, and yes as soon as the iPhone 5 is out people will have to spend another couple of hundred pounds to get some more jigs and then they will be able to sell lots more decorated cases at great margins without investing about 30 grand for a 3D system
>No wonder the prices are so high - so they can rake in money from the early investors, knowing that they'll have to pay all over again for iPhone 5 cases.
First off you have to pay for a special tool making for the injection molding Cost about £15k you then have to get the parts shipped to the UK and coated twice once for sublimation and then the edges painted You have several lots of shipping, you have waste, you have tooling costs to recover, you have packaging, you have to use a special blend of plastic (expensive) to take the heat.
Seriously though JSR I do find your logic here quite bizarre, you think a few 100 pounds investment to be able to produce top quality products that can be sold to 1000's of different markets is an issue ? maybe you are underselling yourself and the benefits of short run digital imaging .....
