Re: Grainy Images from a Ricoh
Have told her to come join the forum.
Can she rescue the printer by putting proper subli inks back in and running them through to get rid of the Ricoh ink?

Re: Grainy Images from a Ricoh
Right, she's now saying she got them from someone who said they got them from that website and only charged her £150.
The carts say sublijet R on them *phew*
Any ideas why image are grainy?

Waiting on a reply to that Paul
Not normal inks mixed, she says she got sublijet-R inks with the printer when she bought it and it's only ever had sublijet-R inks in it

Re: Grainy Images from a Ricoh
Am I missing something here? Surely if she puts the proper subli ink cartridges in and prints until the subli ink is coming through onto the paper, then she should be able to carry on printing for sublimation.Kaz;29416 wrote:And it gets worse, she's boogered the printer as it WASN'T subli ink she put in
She posted this link for me
http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/ink-cart ... X7000.html
After all these Ricoh printers are supposed to be built like tanks so surely putting in the ink it was built for shouldn't harm it.
Jack.
If at first you don't succeed, read the manual.
Re: Grainy Images from a Ricoh
Jack, she's saying it was subli inks she put in, but I can't see any on that site
Re: Grainy Images from a Ricoh
She should be printing to the printer called "PowerDriver R GX7000"
If the carts say SubliJet-R on them then they should be subli carts and she should be ok. After all she's saying grainy not wiping off yes?

Re: Grainy Images from a Ricoh
Mark, she's saying the image is grainy and it's "speckled" with white dots and the image isn't very bright, I've asked her to press a mug and see what happens, waiting on her getting back to me again
