I want to design a shirt with the following image printed on front or back. I know the font is wrong and would like some ideas on how I can make the whole thing better. It's a Welsh thing

back to your image tho, personally you're going to have to find a higher res version if you can.. as you say font is all wrong. I would agree with flipping the image also. As for design, with the sheep's head sticking out so to speak it makes straight text difficult above the image. With the image flipped you can drop in some styled text without it looking odd(club/nightlife based) and then add your sunday lunch(traditional/pub style graphic)
There may be a lot going on then but if you get it right it could work..
