Re: Colour popping in Apple Aperture 3
Loving this effect guys, great post. Just looking at Lightroom for the PC, does this do the same kinda thing? Me not being a Mac'alite an' all.
Re: Colour popping in Apple Aperture 3
It can be done in lightroom 3, its a similar process to doing it in Aperture in that you use desaturation brushes directly on the image (or as directly as you can with lightroom) rather than using layers in photoshop.Justin;23079 wrote:Loving this effect guys, great post. Re: Colour popping in Apple Aperture 3
Got a trial of Lightroom to have a play with, already looks like a great program...now I want to do what you guys have done....lol.
Re: Colour popping in Apple Aperture 3
Its a really good program for creating catalogs of images, selecting photos to use, advanced photo adjustments such as exposure, levels, contrast, black and white and so on, and also for exporting photos to web albums or disk.
I create a new library for every shoot I do, that way I can keep the data bases smaller and the program runs better (file- New Catalog)
one cool feature is you can choose to edit an image in photoshop (for example) then as you save the edited version in photoshop and it automatically get added to the catalog.

i would not bother with lightroom justin. Its fantastic piece of software and i use it on regular basis but i shoot raw so its helpfull with pp. If you dont have huge picture collection then you can use it for some stuff. But all little tweeks that you can do can be done in photoshop so is not worth to spend money for another software. If you are more serious about photography then go for it!
