I'm going to trying out table mats, last time they warped so before I do it, any advice on what to do or the best way to stop it. Don't really want to waste what I have left. You could have rocked a boat on my last place mat.

You have to put a heavy weight on them once you've pressed them.

I used to use a stack of encyclopedias :)

Not sure if Martin's new polymer range included placemats or Subli-Metal do them. I seem to remember seeing an alternative to the Unisub bendy ones somewhere (memory is rubbish these days).

Our FAQ on this:
Sometimes when an item is printed it warps slightly as it cools, e.g. placemats, jigsaw backings, sunscreens etc. How can I stop this?
As soon as the item is removed from the heat press place it under a large heavy object and allow it to cool naturally. This should stop the warp. If necessary you can re-press the item for about 20 seconds and then place it under a large heavy object.

done it and it pressed lovely and is under the biggest pile of books going, finger crossed, this must be the most expensive table mat in history, paper, time ink and the electric which is a business price, and it's just a practise, has anybody else had a expensive item that has cost them so much trouble. If it warps it will cost more, I have had these table mats since I've started so hoping when I order again they will have been improved

I find a full box of mugs works a treat as a weight :-). Always leave until totally cold.
