Yup!

Lots of toys to satisfy anyone's horological impulses... Importantly the quality's good. If you search around ebay you'll get ok-sh movements a bit cheaper maybe, they often seem to be short-lived though.

Re: Clock Mechanism
We have plenty of mechanisms in stock to go with the clocks we supply. They could be available separately, just never been asked before. How many do you need?NASH;26136 wrote:anyone out there Know where i can purchase some

Re: Clock Mechanism
You're most welcome - If you get into clocks consider some of the more 'esoteric' ones too...

NOT the cheapest supplier it has to be said! - But some of these more novel clocks seem to sell at pretty prices. - Seen a tide clock on plain slate @£85 the other day in a shop at North Berwick. They seem to be shifiting too.
Just hunt around for clock movements rather than mechanisms... Lots of places they can be got. And, at the end of the day if it's flattish and you can drill a hole in it - you can make a clock out of it! - Your own imagination and how you combine it with other techniques is the only limit.

Re: Clock Mechanism
I bought some from these guys last year: http://www.clockparts.co.uk - mainly because, at the time, there seemed to be a huge disparity between the price of a sublimation clock with movement and the printable face without the movement (i.e. overpricing the cost of the movement).
I'm not sure the same is true today but, ideally, clock faces and clock movements should be available separately from suppliers for best flexibility.

Re: Clock Mechanism
We used to get the clocks and mechanisms from the same place but now we have the clock parts from a different company and can sell them separately if wanted. They are online now if you're interested.NASH;26141 wrote:i called BMS many moons ago asking for clock mechanism on their own i was told you can`t supply them seperately.

Re: Clock Mechanism
Martin, is it possible that you can get some of your own metal cut to a round shape with a hole in the middle?bms;26144 wrote:We used to get the clocks and mechanisms from the same place but now we have the clock parts from a different company and can sell them separately if wanted. Your clock movement for £1.50 and the metal for £1 would make for a much more affordable clock assembly than the hugely over-priced UniSub clock that currently costs £8.34.
Re: Clock Mechanism
Yes it's possible, but I don't have a local company that can cut circles and holes. I believe these would be cut with high pressure water and this is something were looking into for other circular products, but don't need them just yet. If anyone knows of companies that cut 0.5mm thick metal into custom shapes (rounds, curves etc) then please let me know.JSR;26145 wrote:Martin, is it possible that you can get some of your own metal cut to a round shape with a hole in the middle?
