Re: website image problem

Post by ceesdk »

Hello,

I am living in the Netherlands and busy to create a website, with the site I am going to sell several items like pictures, canvas pictures, t-shirts and mugs.
To show the mugs on my site i need some help, here is what I like to do.
A client chooses a picture from the site wich he would like on the mug, then i would like to show my client how the mug look's like. The picture is a panaroma picture wich comes full around the mug "from ear to ear". The view I like to have on the website must be a rotating mug so you can see the whole picture on the mug.
Hope my english is not to bad,

regards,
Cees

There are programs to do that kind of thing, I think the best way to go about it would be to take lots of still photos, keeping the camera in the same place and rotating the mug(of course you would have to print the mug first) then stick them together for create a animation. you could then convert the animation to a flash video for your website.

hope that makes sense.

Your English is better than some people on here. (My self included)

am i seeing double ???? lol

I don't think your idea will work for cess Andy i think what cess was saying was that the customer uploads the image and then it shows it on the mug on the website so the customer can see what it will look like before they place the order or go to print.

is that right cess? (ignore me if i'm wrong lol most ppl do anyway these days lol

@Draner and smitch6,

Indeed, customer chooses a picture from my site or uploads a picture. Then I will show how it's look like before they place there order. I know it's possible, it can being seen on vistaprint.co.uk. You can try it by using this link http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/vp/ns/studio3.aspx?ref=1&page=1&pf_id=A15&combo_id=193004&filter=9%3a10013||1%2c3%3a10124||1&ssc=1&orig_combo1=106022.120.1.67395|67395%2c67395%2c67395%2c67395%2c67395|137|0|1||3&click=0&icparts=yes&ow=yes&combo1=106022.120.1.67395|67395%2c67395%2c67395%2c67395%2c67395|137|0|1||3&uei=191351&ag=true&referer=http%3a%2f%2fwww.vistaprint.co.uk%2fgallery%2fIHoAAAABAAAAAAA%3d%2fwraparound-mugs.aspx%3fxnav%3dTsrItem%252cTsrButton_02&redir=3&rd=4
