Re: Font

Post by AJLA »

I'm looking for a font with a continuous line underneath. I did discover one on data fonts I think it was. Perfect for the job, quite squarish, Itallic, perfect. So last week I needed to use it and realised i'd forgot to download it and didn't know what it was called either. I spent hours trying to find it with no luck.

I decided to use a similar font in Corel with the continuous line underneath but it's not actually continuous.

Maybe i'll have to just draw a thick line suitable for weeding?

why not to use underline option in text edit settings??? you can have under line as long as your word. or is it not good enough?

Tried that Paul, unfortunately it does not make a solid line which you cannot see on the monitor, it makes a solid line underneath each letter in the word so when you weed it there is a minute split in the line between the letters.

What is it you want Mandy? Is it just a particular word that you want a solid line running underneath? Can't promise anything but I could do it in photoshop and send it to you as a jpeg to cut if it helps?

If it's just one or a couple of slogans then identify a font that you want the line to run underneath and I'll do my best.

Ahhh thats really very kind of you Adam and i'm very grateful for the offer. I'm not very clever with photoshop but the lad who works for me is very good and he is back at work tomorrow so hopefully he will be able to do it. If there are any problems do you mind if I come back to you?

At the mo it is just two words with the line under by the way but with this particular font and line under a couple of the letters actually touched the line which I quite liked the effect of.
I could kick myself for not writing it down when I found it. Having spent hours searching in the first place.
I'm using the 3D stuff for these jobs and the line will need to be fairly thick for me to be able to cut it with the Robo

Mandy

If you know when it was roughly, can you not check in your browsers history and find it that way?

Just a thought
