Re: Tru-pix paper with Coralgraph inks for mug press???

Post by bestbefore »

Hello all!

This is my first post, been reading a lot of the threads here, but I have one last thing I have on my mind before I buy a mug press. I'm looking at buying the P50 printer with the Coralgraph inks. I noticed on the threads here that Tru-pix paper is regarded as up there with the best, but is this paper only best with the more expensive inks, or would it work well with the Coralgrath inks for mugs also?

After looking through the threads, I'm getting myself ready for a whole range of problems. Fingers crossed, it'll all go well. Of course, I want good clear crisp images on my mugs, am I hoping for too much? I'm looking at buying the whole package from the one supplier, apart from the paper. Does anyone here use Coralgraph inks for mugs? Coralgraph mug press paper, or would the Tru-Pix be better for me?

Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks.

Chris.

Not legally! A list of authorised dealers for sublimation ink is on the Sawgrass Website...

Ooooooooooops - Sorry Martin, I seemed to have bought my Chromablast system from an un-authorised dealer ....................... BMS!

BMS are listed as authorised dealers on the sub side but not Chromablast ?????

(should I have gotten a discount?)

Thanks Paul, and everyone else. The ink I was pointed to on the Coralgraph site is under "other inks". Unbranded I suppose. Well thanks, I'll order today and hope it all turns out ok.

Cheers,

Chris.

If you want to keep buying unlicensed ink, it may be prudent to not discuss it on an open forum. The license holder *will* shut down any non-licensed supplier and you will end up without your source of ink.
