This is a very interesting thread, luckily I haven't experienced it although my dad recently had major probs after someone opened an email re a tax return from the inland rev.
I am experiencing something else quite weird though which was intermittent and now is always.
I can access various websites which are saved in my bookmarks and use them with no problems, however, if i go into google via either Mozilla or internet Explores it constantly crashes.
Can't remember what the messages say so I will try to open up a web page shortly and copy them.
Any one heard of this before?

It is Mark, good point to bring up for a defence - but 'my' problem wasn't related to my PC or any Malware/Spyware/Virus problem ..................... the yahoo email accounts were hacked into from a different location so I had no way of 'preventing' it with software installed on my laptop.
