Hi,
Completely new to this so please help with potentially silly questions!
Ok, so, want to start heat pressing flock designs onto t-shirts & babygrows.
Have been hand-sewing velvet monsters etc on, but too time-consuming to keep up with demand. Am planning to buy robocutter & heat press, but need to understand the following first:
Do I need anything else?
Can I scan designs into pc and load into robocutter software, or do I need to draw designs on computer - if so can I do this with robocutter software or do I need additional software like Coral or whatever - recommendations?
Can different colours of flock be laid on top of each other? Can all layers be pressed at the same time or need to be pressed inbetween each layer?
Weeding?
Think that will do for now - will tackle sublimation later!
Would greatly appreciate advice, thanks.

Re: Flock
Never used the robo but I can't see why that wouldn't cut flock.
Yes you can scan artwork in but would need to have a vector image/outline to get the cut lines. Vector Magic is a fantastic bit of software worth checking out. I use Coreldraw for pretty much everything. Do you have a sample of the type of image you want to cut?
Wasn't sure about overlaying flock but according to Xpres website you can. When you overlay colours you need to do one at a time.

Re: Flock
The Craft robo will cut flock no problem use the pink head and put speed and pressure settings to maximun which is 30, you cannot layer flock (well I can't) but you can in fill the holes in lettering with a different colour flock, you can also download silhouette studio software for free which is great at tracing and should cut in the craft robo because the craft robo and the silhouette are the same machine
Children are bit bit like flatulence....you can just about put up with your own
Re: Flock
you can always use the printable sublimation flock rather than overlaying
robocutter worked fine for me too

Re: Flock
Weeding is when you get rid of all the bits you don't want to press, and can be quite therapeutic (unless doing glittery vinyl, grrrr)
Re: Flock
I've dumped the glitter vinyl I have

Re: Flock
I wasn't going to use mine anymore, but got a repeat order for tshirts this past week, so used up more of what I had.
It was actually easier as I upped the pressure and it made it easier to weed.
Going to try the xpres range next time I'm ordering
