Digital Textile Printing to feature heavily at Sign & Digital UK
Organisers of Sign & Digital UK have noticed a trend developing from amongst their many exhibitors that indicates a growing demand for digital textile print and finishing equipment in the UK. Many of the key players in this market have spoken to them about their intentions to show wide format digital textile printers, dye-sub calendars and a range of sewing, welding and eyeleting products to finish the print workflow. Entry is free to the show if you pre-register on line and here are just some of the ones you will see at the show:
EFI will be springing a Textile Surprise at Sign & Digital UK by using its experience across all wide-format inkjet technologies, RIP and production solutions. To add to its leading UV-curable solutions, the company is demonstrating for the first time its trend-setting EFI VUTEk TX3250r 3.2 m dye sublimation fabric printer, which is a result of the growing demand from users wanting the ability to print onto greener textile materials. Running continuous demonstrations in a production environment at Sign & Digital UK, EFI’s complete fabric solution includes finishing on a Solent industrial sewing machine and is complemented by a range of textiles from leading supplier Georg + Otto Friedrich, many of which are recyclable.
The company will also feature full details of its families of UV-curable printers and complementary products.
Fujifilm’s Euromedia range includes a wide choice of digital textile products, some of which will be on show as part of the innovative, purpose-built Fujifilm ‘shop’ at Sign & Digital UK on stand H10. Experts will be on hand to demonstrate the latest innovations and visitors will get the chance to apply some of the media products themselves.
Spandex on Stand D40 will divide their stand into zones, one of which is dedicated to digital textiles The Textile & Soft Signage Application Zone is where the trend towards textile substrates for sign and graphics applications will be in clear evidence and where visitors will get ideas of how to take advantage of the growing textile and soft signage market.
Printers and cutters from Mimaki's three product ranges - Sign & Graphics, Textile & Apparel and Industrial Products - will be on show on the Hybrid Services stand C10 and highlights include the UK launch of the Mimaki JFX-1615plus flatbed LED UV printer.
Experts in digital textile printing and finishing, Atech will be presenting a “workflow” demonstration for digital textiles every hour on their stand E24, and will also have a “Signmakers Corner” area on stand B34 where you can buy the latest time-saving finishing gadgets for vinyl sign, banners and textiles.
AVP Limited on Stand B48 will be showing products targeted at the banner finishing market – namely, their range of Sinclair hot wedge welders. This is the first time they will be exhibiting their products at Sign & Digital UK and as a show special will be offering an additional 12 month return to base manufacturers warranty on all welders ordered at the show.
Solent Sewing on Stand H20, will also have their vast range of industrial sewing solutions, welders and finishing equipment on display. Solent Sewing & Welding's range of Miller Weldmaster and industrial sewing machines supplies a solution for 100% of the fabrics used in the sign industry; digital textiles, mesh, PVC, PU, PE etc. During the show they will be taking orders for a special FREE SAMPLE offer where sign and banner makers can send them their samples and they will finish them to their test specification after the show.
Sign & Digital UK visitors will also be able to witness the strong extension of Mutoh’s product portfolio in the field of sublimation & direct textile printers.
There are many, many more stands showing products and services from manufacturers and suppliers of digital textile print and finishing equipment and a huge range of textiles and fabrics– this year more than ever – and all on your doorstep! Thanks for the link Laura. Although I won't be able to make it I have spent a few minutes on the site getting some interesting info. A lot of old friends there from the photo lab days as well. Agfa was a surprise as the last time we dealt with them they were just going into receivership. Glad to see they have restructered and still around. Looks like it should be a good exhibition. Regards Richard.

Unless your into the big boys toys I wouldn't bother going. Not as good as the one in march mainly large digital machine and such like. Lads from Merlin were nice to talk to though.(sublimation stuff).
