OK, bit of an update. It would appear that I have infringed PayPal rules, long story short I can't 'sell' tickets through PayPal and can't ask you to choose Personal Payment to 'avoid' paying fees. I know, I know...it's all for charity. I've emailed them a couple of times as they have informed me it is possible to be given allowance to accept donations for charity but the 'raffle' thing just won't wash.

So here's what I have to do...and say. I will be editing the original Competition thread to state how you should go about entering the competition. This is the important bit.......PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENT/DONATION UNTIL YOU HAVE PM'D ME. There are only a handful of tickets left but nonetheless I have to change how we do this.

Everyone still has their number as shown in the thread, the donations will still be going to Comic Relief and the draw will still be made in the same way.

If you have any queries, please PM me and I will discuss further with you. I would appreciate it if any members wanting tickets re-read the first post on this thread before PM'ing me. The thread will be updated in the next hour or so.

Many thanks,
Justin :-)

It's all to do with gambling laws. I tried to argue our corner but they weren't having it and were threatening to close my account down. I can still accept general donations but have put something in place to allow the remaining tickets to be sold.

Sorry this has happened Justin, but I did say not to mention raffle somewhere about this, same thing happened to me and I got a restriction on my account and had to argue the point with them about it :(

i expect people put it in the subject headline of the payment they were making, which definately gets flagged up - yes Kaz you did, but i expect people still put it in the subject line or text of the payment :(
