Cardboard/Wooden Hearts?

I've been asked by a customer if I can cut out cardboard or wooden hearts that they want to hand from decorative baskets of flowers with messages on them.

Not sure of the sizes of the hearts required yet but the thickness of the card required is about business card style (350-400gsm) and too thick to put my craft robbo through all the stress.

I mentioned what about plastic, but they dont want to go away from the 'natural' feel of things and want to stay with cardboard/wood.


Has anyone the ability to do these?

If it was loads of hearts - all the same size, I think it would be a die cutting job. Like you say - it would probably wreck a plotter doing this.

If they were all the same size John, would you be able to do this?

No, but I know a few die cutters - look in your yellow pages in your area to save the postage. The main cost is in making the die - after that the cutting charge is small. There may be a printers that offer a letterpress service using an old heidleberg - is so they also can die cut.
