Sublicut - a new company?

HometoGifts is an independently owned business and run by a family firm. We aren't owned by holding companies or off-shore firms like the majority of sublimation suppliers in the UK. We have a simple view on business, "if we help you to succeed, we succeed".

Does anyone know of ANY sublimation supplier who is owned by a "holding company or off shore firm"? Of the main players in the UK this certainly isn't the case and this is very inaccurate.

Even more ironic, if it is a reincarnation of H2G then "if we help you to succeed, we succeed" doesn't bode too well as H2G ceased trading!

Is it Xpres - Charterhouse PLC that this is aimed at? MagicTouch is the only other with the Dutch off shore connection? The rest are family/individual owned as far as I can think, not that having a parent company or part of an International network is a hinderance as a supplier.

The site needs a lot of work anyway and doesn't look ready to go live.

Certainly Charterhouse Plc is the parent company of Xpres, Kustom Kit etc but this is different to a 'holding company" which implies a shell company. Is TMT a franchise arrangement of some sorts?

I guess folks have a different perspective as what they class as a holding company. That's not to say one interpretation over another is particularly wrong. To the actual customer shopping online, they add things to the site's basket then make the appropriate payment to get their goods shipped. As long as a supplier isn't shipping from outside Europe and landing me with unexpected import duties, it doesn't really matter to me who I deal with, or how their business structure is set up.

Not sure if TMT is owned or franchised really just that UK isn't the main arm of the company. You will probably know far more.

Just seen an email from Dave at sublicut, he agrees the P&P is wrong on the magic balloons, but he didn't say how much it should be, and it's a bit of a challenge for him to ammend it just now, but he'll get back to me

Final piece of the puzzle. A couple of months ago, I bought something off Home2Gifts on ebay. I've now just noticed that they've changed their ebay ID from "spire-view" to "sublicut".

Not that we needed this final piece of evidence, but I'll put away my magnifying glass and deerstalker now.

You DID realise the easy way was just to press the add to cart button on the sublicut site which brings up Spire View in the PayPal header.

I actually spoke to Dave on the phone today, and I asked him why H2G had shut down, and he was quite evasive with his answer, but it was along the lines of having redundant stock lying about and not having any free capital to continue. Hmmmmmm

Oh, and I got my ballons for £3.50 P&P lol
