Any heat proof rubber will do just get the correct thickness for what you need. The thicker, the longer to transfer the heat.

So,

I just pressed one of these slates and wasn't too impressed, but perhaps due to covering it with a silcon mat the temp maybe needs to be upped 10 degrees?

I will try another later with the temp up 10 then post photos if anyone is interested?

I've not had a chance to do mine yet as I Don't have a silicon or similar type sheet to put on top of it

I've just done another one and put the temp up to 205 degress and pressed for 7mins - a vast improvement!
