I've just watched the "how to" video on Condes website, and they use a green mat, which looks to be quite flexible and about 5mm thick, any ideas on what it is?

Think this is the same as the red rubberised silicon material.

Having a silicon sheet makes more sense with those times. Direct heat onto the surface happened far quicker and what Conde mentions about paper taking to the coating probably accounts for the marking I was on about. There was paper residue on these parts which had more direct pressure. A 5mm rubber seet seems a bit thick though so I'll try the thinner stuff for a shorter time first.

What are we on about here guys?

Are you on about using a teflon sheet to press the sheet or using silcon paper (or as my old mother used to call it - grease proof baking paper) ??
