putting a stamp on the bottom a mug or similar

I haven't tried it myself, but I am guessing a rubber stamp put into a stamp pad with sublimation ink in it may do the trick. You'd oviously have to put the mugs in a domestic oven to cure the ink before you applied the main image to the mug later.

Think you'd cerainly be able to try it out on a scrap mug with a carved potato for a makeshift rubber stamp. Just don't use the potato in any meals afterwards, as we don't want to your next post to be 'how do you get sublimation ink out of your mouth?'.... :-)

Water slide decals would be the way to go (hope that's what they're called)

And you need to be careful if doing a corporate order as they won't want your site on the bottom

A member on here was doing the waterproof printed vinyl stickers which seemed a good way.

Would this work? Is the coating on the bottom as well as the sides?

Just had a look under one of my subli mugs and it 'appears' to have the same coating that is on the side.

If you are looking for cheap effective advertising, wouldn't it be more beneficial to give a free coaster away, as not many folks are going to look at the underside of a mug.
