The 'Paul Appreciation Thread'
Re: The 'Paul Appreciation Thread'
I'm afraid not. They normally cost a million quid, but you can get cheap Chinese ones for tuppence ha'penny that are just as good. Import fees will bankrupt you though - that's why most people don't offer pressed doughnuts to their clients.

So what you're saying is I'd be better off if I "DO-NUT" offer donuts?
Re: The 'Paul Appreciation Thread'
Yeah, I'm afraid so. Otherwise you'll end up in a sticky situation.

Re: The 'Paul Appreciation Thread'
OK, back on thread....Paul has now pointed me in the right direction for a thermo-protected, heat resistant do-nut, it's known as a no-dut to avoid patenting issues. So I'd just like to thank Paul for this, he's the best and I for one think this is a batter plaice for having him here. BTW...anyone ever cooked fish on their press?

You own me monitor cleaning fella!!!Justin;16869 wrote:Paul, maybe you can help? We just got 2 of these donuts from {insert local supermarket here} and I had a go at pressing the first one. It became very flat in the press despite the low pressure I used. It smelt lovely but I can't help thinking I'm doing something wrong. Please help as I don't want to waste the 2nd donut. Also, do you have any experience of using unsupported jam in these donuts? I'm told that the taste is far better but Sawgrass Preservatives own the jammy patent and hunt down anyone using anything that even resembles a strawberry in conjunction with Donuts.
